Choosing the right Scaffolding

The two most commonly used system scaffolding systems in the UK are Kwikstage and Cuplock. The systems are different, but they are both based on a bay size of 8ft and 6ft, and width of 4ft.

Kwikstage is distinctive as they are usually painted yellow in colour, where as Cuplock Scaffolding is galvanised and so is more expensive. This means that Cuplock will keep a good appearance even if old, whereas painted scaffolding will eventually chip and rust.

Cuplock and Kwikstage are often used in most applications, and they are both safe to use, even if you are going to erect the scaffolding yourself.

Both Cuplock and Kwikstage are easy to erect, even by self builders.

The main seller of scaffolding in the UK is Scaffolding Direct. They supply Scaffolding Direct to the trade and self builders, and can deliver all over the UK.
